1.Who we are
Fluent Lines (“the App”, “we”) is a language-learning application operated by Oleksandr Yampolskyi, Franciszka Klimczaka 6A, 02-797 Warszawa, Poland (NIP 9512580117, VAT PL9512580117, REGON 526662395). Contact: support@fluentlines.app.
2.The Service
The App provides a curated library of phrases, words and example lines derived from a statistical analysis of film and television dialogue, together with study tools (daily sessions, practice, catalog). Content is provided for personal, non-commercial language learning.
3.Purchases and Lifetime Access
- The App offers a one-time purchase (“Lifetime Access”). It is not a subscription; there are no recurring charges.
- Lifetime Access unlocks the full content library and features of the App, including all learning languages available in the App now or added in the future.
- “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the Service, not of the user or the device. We intend to operate the App indefinitely but do not guarantee perpetual operation, updates, compatibility with future operating systems, or availability of any particular feature or language. We may modify or discontinue the Service (see Section 9).
- Purchased content is stored locally on your device where technically possible; core study features are designed to work offline.
- Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Prices may change for new buyers at any time.
4.Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly. If applicable law in your country grants you a statutory withdrawal or refund right for digital purchases, that right continues to apply.
5.Accounts and Sign-in
- An account is optional for using the App and is created by verifying your email (one-time code). An account is required to sync your access and progress across devices.
- You are responsible for access to your email address. We may close accounts used fraudulently (e.g., purchase sharing at scale).
- You may delete your account and associated data at any time in Settings (“Delete account and data”) or by contacting support.
6.Email communications
If you provide your email, you consent to receive product emails (your saved session, product updates, offers). Every email contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing does not affect transactional emails strictly necessary for purchase recovery.
7.Acceptable use and content licence
- Content (phrases, senses, translations, example lines, orderings, scores — “the Library”) is licensed to you for personal learning, not sold. You may not extract, scrape, bulk-export, resell or redistribute the Library or substantial parts of it, or use it to train machine-learning models.
- Short quotations from films appear as brief excerpts for the purpose of language education and criticism/commentary; each quotation is limited in length and scope to what is necessary for that educational purpose, and no film, episode or scene is reproduced in any substantial part. All film titles and quotations remain the property of their respective owners. The App is not affiliated with or endorsed by any studio.
- Mature-language content is off by default and can be enabled in Settings; you confirm you meet the age threshold shown when enabling it.
8.Intellectual property
The App, its design, brand, and the Library’s selection/arrangement are our intellectual property. Film quotations remain their owners’ property (Section 7).
9.Changes and termination of the Service
We may update the App and these Terms; material changes will be announced in the App or by email. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice where practicable. Because core content is stored on your device, an installed App generally remains usable offline after discontinuation, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with future OS versions or reinstalls.
10.Disclaimers and liability
The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and limit our aggregate liability to the amount you paid for the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law (including EU/Polish consumer protections).
11.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of your country of habitual residence, and nothing here deprives you of them.
